On October 1st, INTERCONTINENTAL ÉQUIPEMENT VERDUN (IEV) became a new member of the QUARD AT WORK programme, marking the start of a promising collaboration.
The partnership was signed at our offices during a visit to the Clabecq mill by Stéphane Baron, Sales Director, and Sabine Grenier, Head of Purchasing and Logistics.
A partnership of shared expertise
The meeting provided an opportunity for meaningful exchanges on how QUARD and QUEND steels are integrated into IEV’s products. During their visit, the guests discovered NLMK Clabecq’s distinctive rolling process as well as the Quenching and Tempering (Q&T) unit — the core of the strength and reliability that define our steels.
Located in Les Souhesmes-Rampont, near Verdun, IEV designs and manufactures tailor-made buckets, containers and attachments for loaders, hydraulic excavators and port gantry cranes.
With several decades of experience, the company has established itself as a reference in equipment designed for the most demanding environments.

Complete in-house manufacturing for maximum precision
On its 5,000-m² production site, IEV manages the entire manufacturing chain: technical design, high-precision laser cutting, forming, five-axis machining, and 3D quality control. This fully integrated approach ensures robust, durable and perfectly adapted products for each customer’s specific needs. Looking for steel that could meet its own standards of reliability and precision, IEV naturally turned to QUARD and QUEND.
